Purpose

Soft elastic tanks with replaceable insert of the MER type are intended for temporary storage of oil and oil products. This is the optimal solution during the repair work and elimination of accidents on the main oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, storage of fuel and lubricants, drilling and comprehensive testing of wells.

Sphere of application:

Ensuring operational work on the release of trunk and field pipeline systems at industrial facilities from oil and oil products.

Composition and operating principle

Elastic tank with replaceable liner, of the MER type is a closed sealed enclosure, equipped with technical zipper and force valve to insert and remove a removable liner.

Sealed flange connections are provided in the outer shell of the tank for the connection of the breathing valve and the filling and delivery system of the tank.

Advantages of elastic tanks of the MER type produced by NPF "Politechnika":

Rapid deployment. Elastic tanks can be delivered to the place of operation by any type of transport (land, air and water) in the most remote regions of the country. Installation on site-with minimal effort without prior surface preparation. Installation with maximum placement on slopes up to 18° is allowed.
Versatility. Operating temperature range from -60°C up to +40°C.
Explosion safety. Design of the MER type tanks provides safe operation at influence of explosive mixes of categories IIA, IIB of groups T1, T2, T3 according to GOST 30852.5 and GOST 30852.11 at operation of soft tanks in external installations in explosive zones of classes "0" according to GOST 30852.9. The mode of discharging and loading of oil, construction and operating conditions satisfy the electrostatic requirements of intrinsic safety according to GOST 12.1.018. The value of resistance of the grounding device intended only for protection against static electricity shall not exceed 100 Ohms.

Package contents:

replaceable closed type inserts made of oil-and-gas-resistant material with an antistatic covering (to avoid maintenance works on the MER type tanks in field conditions);
breathing valve for the release of gas-air mixture when filling in order to avoid damage to the tank from thermal expansion. The normative period of work is 10 working cycles (deployment/use/ collapse).

Used equipment is packed in airtight cases and transported to specialized organizations for subsequent disposal

In March 2016, a field fuel storage facility of PSG-5000 type was commissioned at our mine, it consists of 20 elastic tanks of PER-250 type, with a total capacity of 5000 m³. The reason for the installation - the replacement of obsolete elastic tanks of type ArcticKingTank 125 m³ produced by SEIIndustries Ltd (Canada). Equipment and materials of PSG-5000 were delivered to the site in full completeness and in good condition. The kit takes into account everything, up to rags, and with sufficient stock. Installation supervision works on installation of tanks are organized at a high level, performed as soon as possible and efficiently, despite the harsh weather conditions. During the period of operation of the tanks, no deficiencies were identified.

In September 2014, LLC NPF "Politechnika" carried out for JSC "NNK-Taimyrneftegazdobycha" rapid delivery, deployment, installation and commissioning of a field fuel warehouse (PSG) with a capacity of 3000 m³. Thanks to the competent organization of installation works by the contractor, despite the severe weather and climatic conditions, the warehouse was prepared for acceptance of fuel in the shortest possible time. During the work process, the contractor's specialists not only participated personally in the installation, but also trained the employees of JSC "NNK-Taimyrneftegazdobycha" in order, features of operation and maintenance of tanks, unit acceptance, procedures for minor repairs of products. It is also necessary to note the ease of deployment of both the canopies and the tanks themselves (the elementary presence of metal rings on the canopies and the presence of welded handles on the tanks removes a lot of problems on their deployment).
